[Also in Group XV] A baby soother comprises a teat of rubber or flexible material, a teething member or ring and an annular stop member, the teething member and/or the stop member being hollow and enclosing a plurality of pellets or the like. A teat 1 of rubber or synthetic resin is fixed over an assembly member 3 and secured thereto by a stop member 4 which is larger than the open mouth of an average baby. A teething ring 2 is secured to the assembly member 3. The assembly member 3 is provided with indentations 8, 8<SP>1</SP> which define a series of cone frustums. The teething ring 2 and/or the stop member 4 are hollow and contain pellets 7 to form a rattle. The teething ring 2 and stop member 4 may be made of transparent material and the pellets 7 may be coloured. |
