PURPOSE: A composition derived from native plants is provided to prevent or treat hypersensitive dermatitis such as atopic dermatitis without side effects. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating atopic dermatitis contains extract of ulmus davidiana bark, Cassiae Semen, and Taraxacum platycarpum as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, solution of low alcohol, non-polar solvent or mixture solvent thereof. The non-polar solvent is dichloromethane, chloroform, diethyl ether, ethyl acetate, hexane, or supercritical fluid. A cosmetic product or health food contains the composition for preventing and treating atopic dermatitis as an active ingredient.
