The flexible storage bag (1) is formed by sewing a fabric web (2), where the fabric web provides a weakened region (10). A warp and weft threads are provided with a fabric web guide. The weakened region is provided with reduced warp thickness, which is thinner than the warp threads. The warp threads are made of polypropylene, polyester or polyethylene. An independent claim is also included for a method for creating a reinforced fabric edge of a fabric web.
