摘要 <p>A pre-concentration device for an ion mobility detection apparatus 3 comprises a collection passage 1 configured to collect a gas mixture including substances to be detected; a sieve 6 provided, in a deployed state, within the collecting passage and configured to separate and adsorb the substances to be detected; at least one desorption unit (40, Figure 5) configured to desorb the adsorbed substances from the sieve, the sieve being received in a wound state in the desorption unit; and a driving device (60, Figure 3) to move the sieve between an adsorption position in the collecting passage and a desorption position in the at least one desorption unit. Preferably the pre-concentration device comprises two adsorption units, each including a heating barrel 4 or 4' and a sieve drum (14, Figure 5) around/from which the sieve can be wound/unwound. Preferably the sieve has first and second adsorption regions, spaced apart so that when the first adsorption region 61 is moved to its desorption position, the second adsorption region 62 is moved to its adsorption position, and vice versa. Thus adsorption and desorption can be performed concurrently at different regions on the sieve, respectively. A pre-concentration method is also claimed.</p>
