PURPOSE: A high carbon soft wire rod capable of removal in softening treatment and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce consumption of energy due to heat processes and reduce manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A high carbon soft wire rod capable of removal in softening treatment comprises carbon 0.7~1.5%, silicon0. 005~2.0%, manganese 0.2~1.5%, aluminum 0.03%, phosphorus 0.02% or less, sulfur 0.02% or less, ferrite, and pearlite. The ferrite contains sphere cementite. The pearlite contains sphere cementite.
