WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTING APPARATUS AND METHOD CONSIDERING EFFECT OF SINGLE TONE IMAGE

PURPOSE: A white balance adjusting apparatus and a method for considering effect of a single tone image are provided to solve a problem of white balance defects due to an effect of an excessive single tone image. CONSTITUTION: A single tone image determining unit(14) respectively compares the maximum value of the histogram of the Cb value or the Cr value with a preset first threshold value. The single tone image determining unit decides an input image frame which has bigger than the first threshold value for a single tone image. An auto white balance gain computing unit(17) computes the automatic white balance gain using a color information of the input image frame excluding the decided input image frame.
