PURPOSE: A large size electrical cabinet manufacturing method and a workpiece lifting apparatus used for the same are provided to ensure high quality of a large size electrical cabinet using the conventional laser welding machine. CONSTITUTION: A large size electrical cabinet manufacturing method is as follows. A side panel, a top panel, a bottom panel, and a rear panel are cut and punched. A reinforcing bar and a supporter being fixed to the panel by welding are cut and punched. The supporter is fixed by welding on the inner side of each panel manufactured to the standard size. The panel with the reinforcing bar and the supporter is electrostatic-coated or coated with fireproof paint. The side panel and the rear panel are fixed with panel fixing jigs assembled in a workpiece lifting apparatus, and an electrode(3) of a laser welding machine is located on the top. The junction of the side and rear panels is partially welded while raising the workpiece lifting apparatus to the top. The rest part of the junction is welded while lowering the electrode of the laser welding machine to the bottom.
