<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably stop a piston of an automatically stopped engine at a predetermined position by using an alternator. <P>SOLUTION: This stop control device for an engine includes an automatic stop control means automatically stopping the engine when a predetermined engine stop condition is satisfied and automatically starting the engine when a predetermined engine start condition is satisfied during the stop, and includes an alternator driven by the engine and generating electric power, an alternator temperature detection means detecting temperature of the alternator, and an alternator control means correcting rotation load from the alternator acting on the engine during automatic stop to stop the piston at the predetermined position by controlling the alternator based on temperature of the alternator detected by the alternator temperature detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
