Novel amides of the Formula I in which R is alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or aralkyl, A is a monovalent heterocyclic radical linked to the methylene group through a nitrogen atom which is a ring atom of said heterocycle and R 1 is an aromatic radical which may, if desired, be substituted in the nucleus by OCH 3 or NO 2 groups, or aralkyl and their acid addition salts with physiologically acceptable acids are prepared by reacting the appropriate amine with an acid chloride of the formula R 1 COCl. 4 - (3 - Isoamyloxy - 2 - amino) propyl - tetrahydro - 1,4 - oxazine is obtained by refluxing hydrazine hydrate with 4 - (3 - isoamyloxy - 2 - phthalimido) propyltetrahydro - 1,4 - oxazine, obtained by treating 4-(3-inoamyloxy-2-chloro) propyl - tetrahydro - 1,4 - oxazine, resulting from the reaction of thionyl chloride on the corresponding alcohol, with potassium phthalimido. Pharmaceutical compositions, suitable for oral, parenteral or rectal administration, contain the above novel compounds or acid addition salts and inert physiologically acceptable carriers. The compounds possess cardiovascular properties. |
