摘要 1,244,349. Moulding bladed rotors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., and WHITTAKER CORP. 19 Nov., 1968 [29 Jan., 1968], No. 54782/68. Heading B5A. [Also in Division F1] A turbine or compressor rotor comprises a disc 10 and blades 14 formed from wound filaments bonded together to give an integral assembly. The filaments may be glass fibre or metallic and the bonding agent an epoxy resin or non-organic material, depending on the rotor application. The rotor is constructed by assembling in a mould a circumferential array of resin pedestals 19, each being supported by a pin engaging a hole 22. A hoop 26 is then formed by winding filaments circumferentially in slots 25 adjacent one end of the pedestals 19. Core portions 20 of the blades 14 are added by drawing continuous strands of filaments radially outwardly between adjacent pedestals 19, around a pin (24), Fig. 5 (not shown), and then radially inwardly to pass through the disc 12, between another pair of pedestals 19, around a further pin (24) and so on until the full width of the core portions 20 has been formed. A second hoop 26 is then added by winding filaments in slots 25 adjacent the other end of the pedestals 19. The aerofoil shape of the blades 14 is completed by winding further radial filaments to form the leading and trailing edge regions 28, 30, these filaments being woven into those already forming the disc 12. A tip shroud 16 is formed by cutting the filaments at the tip of each blade 14 and splaying out these filaments in opposite circumferential directions to meet the filaments of adjacent blades. Continuous filaments are then wound circumferentially about the splayed out filaments to form sealing ribs 34 and the outer surfaces of the shroud 16. Fibre glass or other sheet material is then bonded to the surfaces of the rotor and the complete assembly bonded together under pressure in the mould.
