PURPOSE: A 3D(Dimensional) pointing detection device and a method thereof excluding a sensor are provided to calculate 3D position and direction while maintaining low production cost without including additional sensor. CONSTITUTION: A video generator(210) takes a photograph of first/second light sources and generates an image including first/second images. A direction calculating unit(220) calculates a direction of a light illuminating unit by using the size of the first/second light sources. A location calculating unit(230) calculates the location of the light illuminating unit by using the location of first/second light sources.
