PURPOSE: A device for switching an ethernet system having dual ports is provided to prevent collision in case the relay of data frame is generated at the same time data transmission. CONSTITUTION: A data selector(19) receives a transmission frame from a transmission and reception buffer(15) and a switch buffer(17). The data selector transmits the received transmission frame to a medium controller. The data selector decides the priority of the transmission frame. The data selector selects one of data frames inputted from the transmission and reception buffer and data frame inputted from the switch buffer. The data selector transfers the selected data frame to the media controller.
