Production of fibres melting above 200 degrees C. from poly-(ethylene-omega-polyalkylene oxide)-terephthalate with 4-9 M% polyalkylene oxide (m. wt. 1000-6000) using only anhydrous manganese acetate at rate 0.1-2.0% as catalyst for esterification and polycondensation, and the polymer, after polycondensation, formed into fibres by a spin-stretch-spool process. |
