Compounds of formula (I) where R1 R2 and R3 are independently H or 1-5C alkyl and R4 is (CH3)C=CH(CH2)2C(CH3)=CHCH2 or (CH3)2C=CH-(CH2)2-CH(CH3). are prepd. from an ester of gen. formula II, by reaction with geraniol or 2-methyl 2-heptene 6-ol in the presence of an alkaline catalyst and a secondary amine. (R5=lower alkyl gp) The cpds. inhibit the incubation of insect eggs.
