<p>The flocculating agent used is in the form of a colloidal suspension of sodium alginate in water which is free of calcium. The sodium alginate itself is prepared by neutralising alginic acid with sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, the neutralisation being continued until a pH of 8.2-7.2 is reached.</p> |
