Container with threaded neck engaging with the thread of a cap and method for manufacturing same

The container has a cylindrical body (1) comprising an upper end provided with a closure (5) and a threaded neck (2) having an external thread (3). The closure has an inner lateral skirt (7) comprising an opening (6) that cooperates with the thread of the neck for closing the container. The closure has a central hole (8) that receives a nipple (9). A hemispherical cap (10) is fitted in the lateral skirt by plastic deformation. The body has a median part provided with diametrically opposite elliptical flats. The body, the closure and the cap are made of polyethersulfone. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a container.
