A process for the production of diisocyanates which are liquid at room temperature comprises reacting 1 mol of 4,41- and/or 2,4<SP>1</SP>- diphenylmethane diisocyanate with 0À1 to 0À3 mol of a branched dihydroxy compound, e.g. a poly-1,2-propylene ether glycol of molecular weight 134 to 700 or a 1,3-propanediol having at least two alkyl groups. The isocyanate content of the products amounts to between 15 and 25%. |
