PURPOSE: A cushion check valve is provided to maintain high response on the opening/closing through rapid back-and-forth motion of a disc. CONSTITUTION: A cushion check valve comprises an outer body(3), a seat(5), a disc(7), a guide cylinder(9), and an elastic member(10). The outer body has an entrance(21) on the upstream side and an exit(23) on the downstream side of fluid flow, where an inner chamber(25) is formed between the exit and the entrance. The seat is attached to the interior of the entrance side of the outer body. The disc is installed in the inner chamber and moves back and forth to contact to or separate from the seat, thereby opening and closing the entrance. The transfer speed of the disc is reduced when moving backward in order to open the entrance. The guide cylinder is coaxially coupled in the disc. The elastic member is installed between the guide cylinder and the disc and gradually compressed by the disc moving backward so as to elastically support the disc against the guide cylinder.
