PURPOSE: An image display system and a control method thereof for controlling a display image according to the movement of a remote controller are provided to increase the convenience of a user by controlling an image display device. CONSTITUTION: A sensing unit(110) senses the movement of a remote controller(100) by a user request. A signal output unit(150) transmits a key value corresponding to preset direction and motion information to an image display device(200). A storage unit stores the key value according to the signal of the sensing unit. An image processing unit controls the image according to the stored key value.
