<p>A method including a multicast transmitter sending a multicast packet to a cluster of recipients; each recipient determining the reception status of the received packet; if the packet is received correctly, the recipient sending a positive acknowledgment ACK in an ACK phase and listening for negative acknowledgments (NACK) from other recipients in a NACK phase, whereas if the packet is not received correctly, the recipient sending a NACK in the NACK phase and listening for ACK's from other recipients in the ACK phase ; and each cluster recipient then participating in intra-cluster retransmission of the packet based on the obtained acknowledgment information. This avoids the need for the multicast transmitter to send a receive status table to the cluster prior to retransmission.</p> |
