[Also in Divisions E2 and H1] A holder for a semi-conductor device comprises a pair of hinged arms 4, 5, on which are opposed contact areas 9, 10, forced into mutual engagement by spring 11. Cooling fins 12, 13 are provided on the hinged arms which are electrically insulated from one another so that when they are gripping a device 1 the contacts 2, 3 are not shorted together. The spring system may be on the opposite side of the hinge from. or on the same side of the hinge as, the semiconductor device gripping jaws, and the spring may be housed within a bore in one of the arms, Fig. 2 (not shown). |
