PURPOSE: A supplementary apparatus used for a signal lamp and a control method thereof are provided to prevent the malfunction of the auxiliary device in a traffic signal by receiving a stop signal and a walk signal and comparing the duration of each signal. CONSTITUTION: In a supplementary apparatus used for a signal lamp and a control method thereof, a stop signal and a walk signal are respectively inputted to the supplementary apparatus. The duration of the sop signal and walk signal are compared. If duration of the stop signal is longer than that of the walk signal(S150). A predetermined function normally operates(S170). If duration of the stop signal is shorter than that of the walk signal(S150). A predetermined function normally is stopped(S190). |
