A COMPOSITION COMPRISING EXTRACTS OF ELAEOCARPUS PETIOLATUS FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES

PURPOSE: A composition containing Elaeocarpus petiolatus extract for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases is provided to suppress expression and transition of inflammatory factors and to reduce IL-4 and IL-13 cytokines. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains Elaeocarpus petiolatus extract as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture solvent thereof. An external use kin formulation for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains Elaeocarpus petiolatus extract as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the extract comprises: a step of adding extraction solvent to Elaeocarpus petiolatus; a step of filtering the extract; and a step of compressing and drying the extract.
