Drying cylinder esp. for paper, textiles etc. with a jacket heated by a heating medium as well as a number of blocks of higher thermal conductivity than the jacket material inlaid in recesses in the jacket. A heat-conducting filler medium is fitted between the blocks and their recesses and is fluid or pulpy at the highest allowable temperature of the heating medium. |
