FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: mobile terminals can be connected to each other in dynamically formed local area networks for exchange of files requiring high transmission channel capacity. Payment and licensing information for these files can be exchanged over a cellular network to which mobile terminals are usually connected. The mobile terminal includes logic circuitry for connection to the local area network in response to entrance of a mobile terminal into the coverage area of the local area network; logic circuitry for requesting a file from the local area network; logic circuitry for receiving the file from the local area network when the file is available from another mobile terminal in the local area network; and logic circuitry for exchanging payment and licensing information for the file over the cellular network. ^ EFFECT: improved process of loading files into a device. ^ 15 cl, 5 dwg
