PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack improved in safety by preventing batteries or an external power supply from being damaged due to trickle charging current. SOLUTION: A battery pack charging method includes: a charging current existence decision step S1 of determining whether a charging current exists; a charging current and charging voltage change decision step S3 of determining whether the charging current and charging voltage are to be changed when the charging current exists; a battery voltage reduction decision step S4 of determining whether the charging current is changed from a first current level to a second current level smaller than the first current level and a present battery voltage becomes lower than a previous voltage when the charging current and charging voltage are changed; and a charging current keeping step S5 of keeping the charging current at the second current level for a certain keeping time period when the present battery voltage becomes lower than the previous voltage.
