PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sticking preventing agent composition that prevents adhesion between the same sort of synthetic rubber substrates or between a synthetic rubber substrate and another substrate of other materials, and to provide a method for preventing sticking. SOLUTION: The sticking preventing agent composition comprises water dispersion of a modified Mg-Al-type layered double hydroxide that exfoliates reversibly in water. The method for preventing sticking comprises forming a dry film of the sticking preventing agent composition on the contact surfaces between the same sort of synthetic rubber substrates or between a synthetic rubber substrate and another substrate of other materials.
