PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a density variation correcting means capable of following the change in environment such as temperature and humidity. SOLUTION: A printer including an electric power source for printing for generating an electric power to be fed to a thermal head and a line resistance measuring means present on an electric power feeding path to the thermal head from the electric power source for printing, and an electric voltage changing means for changing the electric voltage loaded on the thermal head during printing in accordance with the result on resistance measurement, is characterized in that a line resistance detecting means changes a plurality of kinds of the number of driving a plurality of existing thermal resistances and a means for measuring a plurality of electric current values energized at that time.
