PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a token handling device capable of putting out the predetermined number of tokens as quickly as possible, and a token retaining device for the token handling device, capable of putting out the predetermined number of tokens even when a token put-out device fails. SOLUTION: The token handling device includes a plurality of put-out devices arranged below a token retaining bowl to receive and put out tokens sliding down the inclined bottom wall of the retaining bowl by their own weight. The put-out devices are arranged along a conveying device for conveying the tokens put out of the put-out devices, laterally in a straight line. The token handling device also includes a post-processing device for receiving the tokens from the conveying device.
