PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic system and method for providing a three-dimensional ultrasonic image by setting an ellipsoidal interested region on volume data. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic system comprises: an ultrasonic data acquisition part to transmit an ultrasonic signal to an object, to receive an ultrasonic echo signal reflected from the object, and to acquire plural ultrasonic data to the object; a user inputting part to receive input information from a user; and a processor to generate the volume data by using the plural ultrasonic data, to set the ellipsoidal interested region on the volume data based on the input information, to render the volume data corresponding to the ellipsoidal interested region, and to generate the three-dimensional ultrasonic image corresponding to the ellipsoidal interested region.
