PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic means of malaria, sleeping sickness, AIDS, hepatitis, influenza, adult onset leukemia, acute gastroenteritis, resistant tubercule bacillus, resistant syphilis, cancer cell or the like (hereafter, abbreviated as infectious diseases). SOLUTION: The therapeutic means targeting the therapy of the infectious diseases by using the antibacterial effects of catechin includes oral administration of an enteric tablet obtained by tableting a fine powder of tea leaves, or a tablet or capsule obtained by filling an enteric capsule with the fine powder of the tea leaves to enable the catechin contained in the fine powder of the tea leaves to be produced in the blood in a process for decomposing the fine powder of the tea leaves in the liver and the kidney of a human body. The therapeutic means targeting the therapy of the resistant malaria parasite and the sleeping sickness includes orally administering a tablet, a capsule, an enteric tablet or an enteric capsule including a mixture obtained by mixing the fine powder of the tea leaves, with each of quinine, chloroquine or artesunate.
