摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge controller that controls a charging current so that the sum of the load current and the charging current is less than the allowable current value of an AC adapter while a secondary battery is charged, and allows the charging current to be set to the maximum charging current value or below according to the state of the battery even if the AC adapter has a margin of current supply capacity. SOLUTION: The charge controller includes: a power supply circuit 2 which supplies a load 6 connected to the output terminal OUT with an output voltage VSYS obtained by converting an input voltage VCHG at the input terminal IN into a predetermined voltage; and a charging circuit 3 which charges the secondary battery 7 by using the power supply circuit 2 as a power supply. A predetermined charging current value is set by using a fourth reference voltage CCREF2 to be less than a current value which is obtained by subtracting the output current value of the power supply circuit 2 indicated by a monitor voltage IMONI1 from the sum of a predetermined charging current limit value indicated by a limit current signal Vlim and a charging current value indicated by a monitor voltage IMONI2.
