<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to deposit money of some countries irrespective of the kind of currency. <P>SOLUTION: An ATM 10 is provided with: a discrimination means for discriminating authenticity of paper money related to yen paper money; a discriminating/identifying means for extracting feature information of paper money determined as forged money by the discrimination means, and for comparing the feature information with the feature information of foreign currency held in a storage part 32 of the ATM 10 for discrimination and for identifying the foreign currency; a determination means for determining whether a discrimination program 22 for discriminating authenticity of the foreign currency is stored in a storage part 32 of the ATM 10; and a request means for, when the discrimination program 22 is stored in the storage part 32, selecting the discrimination program 22, and for, when the discrimination program 22 is not stored in the storage part 32, requesting the discrimination program 22 to the host computer 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
