PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having heat resistance that withstands reflow soldering and keeping discharge capacity even in a low-temperature environment; and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.

SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises an electrolyte 50 containing a solute and a solvent containing polyethylene glycol dialkyl ether and ethylene glycol dialkyl ether, a positive electrode 12, a negative electrode 26, and a separator 30 made of glass fibers and placed between the positive electrode 12 and the negative electrode 26.
