<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to take out a cosmetic tool from a tool storage recessed part, to simultaneously make it easy to store the cosmetic tool in the tool storage recessed part and to also prevent the cosmetic tool from falling unexpectedly from the tool storage recessed part when a cover is opened. <P>SOLUTION: In the compact container, the cover 23 is hinge-connected to a container body 1 so as to be freely opened and closed, and the container body 1 is provided with the tool storage recessed part 13 for storing the cosmetic tool 11.
