PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber for resin hose reinforcement, which has excellent qualities and excellent heat resistance and durability when made into a resin hose; and to provide a resin hose using the same. SOLUTION: The polyethylene naphthalate fiber for resin hose reinforcement comprises an ethylene naphthalate as a main repeating unit and has a strength of 6-10 cN/dtex and a melting point of 275-315°C. Preferably, the ratio E'(100°C)/E'(20°C) of a modulus E'(100°C) at 100°C to a modulus E'(20°C) at 20°C is 0.6 or more, and the strength retention ratio after treatment at 180°C for 1,000 hours is 70% or more. The polyethylene naphthalate fiber contains a phosphorus atom in an amount of 0.1-300 mmol% based on an ethylene naphthalate unit. Preferably, the polyethylene naphthalate fiber contains a metal element and the metal element is one or more kinds selected from the group of metal elements of the periods 4-5 and the groups 3-12 in the periodic table and Mg.
