PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic rotary compressor capable of supplying a lubricating oil of a predetermined pressure to a sliding part, supplying a lubricating oil also into a cylinder chamber, and improving the sealing property of a compression chamber so as to restrain performance degradation. SOLUTION: In the hermetic rotary compressor 1, an electric motor part 3 and a compression mechanism part 4 driven by the electric motor part 3 are stored in a closed container 2, so that a refrigerant is sucked into the compression mechanism part 4 via the space inside the closed container 2. A volume type oil feeding pump device 100 is provided with the suction port immersed in a lubricating oil 99, so that the lubricating oil 99 discharged from the volume type oil feeding pump device 100 is supplied to a sliding part of the compression mechanism part 4. A lubricating oil return mechanism 50 is provided in a return path of the lubricating oil to the closed container 2 as a pressure control mechanism for controlling the pressure of the lubricating oil in the return path.
