PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a metal composite sheet having excellent dispersibility of metals, metal oxides or metal salts. SOLUTION: The method for producing the metal composite sheet containing metals, metal oxides or metal salts comprises a step to absorb a metal ion solution or a metal alkoxide solution into fine pores of porous organic resin particles, a step to deposit the metal, metal oxide or metal salt in the fine pores of the porous organic resin particles, and a film-forming step to prepare a coating composition containing the porous organic resin particles and apply the coating composition thereto to form a coating film.
