PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing support system which estimates hardware requirements with high request accuracy in the construction of an application system. SOLUTION: A sizing support server 100 is provided with measurement models, relative performance ratios of machines and processing pattern templates stored in a database. When a data quantity to be treated by an application of a construction object system, a processing pattern thereof and machine information are received from a client, the sizing support server constructs a measurement system for measuring processing performance in a client, and executes a pseudo application of an application system used in the measurement system on the client to measure machine performance (execution CPU time or usage memory amount). The sizing support server 100 corrects a value measured by the measurement system for a construction object machine by the use of measured machine information, construction object machine information and the relative performance ratio of the machine performance, and calculates a machine scale satisfying system performance requirements based on the corrected value.
