PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem in a receiving apparatus of a conventional content distribution system, wherein the apparatus has no mechanism to download content having a plurality of export licenses and to export the downloaded content with the export license, and thereby content with copy information cannot be copied. SOLUTION: If equipment or medium at an export destination can manage the number of copy times when content is exported, the content receiving apparatus makes the user specify the allowable number of copy times that is imparted to contents being exported, consumes the export licenses for the allowable number of copy times thus specified from a copyright management server and the apparatus, and then exports the content data together with the export license information for the specified number of times according to the copyright management system at the export destination.
