PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend shelf-life and improve adhesiveness of an adhesive composition for dental therapy containing a (meth)acrylate monomer having an acidic group in the molecule and water as essential components, and improve adhesiveness of an adhesive composition free from water. SOLUTION: There is provided an adhesive composition containing a polymerizable phosphonic acid derivative comprising a compound having a polymerizable group and a carboxylic acid in the molecule or its salt and expressed by general formula [1] [wherein, R is a polymerizable group; and W is an organic group containing an aromatic group having an acid group except for a phosphoric acid group as a substituent].
