<p>An apparatus for realizing drive-free net surfing is disclosed by the present invention. The apparatus includes a configuration module, a Compact Disc Read Only Memory (CDROM), and a protocol stack module. A method for realizing drive-free net surfing is also disclosed by the present invention simultaneously. By providing the computer Human Interface Device (HID) configuration information and the CDROM configuration information, the computer runs the HID drive and executes the dialing software, network protocol stack and connection indication program which are stored in the CDROM of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) data card, so the function of net surfing can be realized without installing drive in the computer by a user. A USB data card for realizing drive-free net surfing is also disclosed by the present invention simultaneously, and the data card includes the configuration module, the CDROM and the protocol stack module. With the apparatus, method and data card of the present invention, the usage of the USB data card is not restricted by the software circumstance of the computer.</p> |
