<p>Alkoxyalkoxyl steroids. Cpds. of formula: R4-(O-CHR5-OR') (where R4 is cyclopentanopolyhydrophenanthrene skeleton, ring A is aromatic and monosubstd. pref. in the 3 posn. by -O-CHR5-OR' and R' represented by a lower alkyl and R5 represented by H or CH3), are prepd. by alkylation in aprotic medium of an aromatic steroid salt of formula: R4-(OM) (where M is an alkali metal ion or alkaline erth and R4 is steroid skeleton, ring A being aromatic and monosubstd. in posn. 3 by OM) with a cpd. of formula R'-O-CH(R5)hal (in which R' and R5 are as above and hal is Cl, Br, I, F). Cpds. are anti-lipemic.</p> |
