The invention relates to an assembly consisting of a push roller vehicle (2) having steering rolling members, and of a pushed material (3) having a framework (7) that has a vertical longitudinal plane of symmetry (P1), and which is connected on one side to said push roller vehicle (2), and is provided on the other side with wheels (8) that are spontaneously adjustable on said framework about vertical axes. Advantageously, the assembly additionally includes: a means (20) for detecting said steering lock angle by means of the wheels (8) of said pushed material (3) relative to said longitudinal plane of symmetry (P1) of the latter; and a control member (21) for angularly moving the longitudinal plane of symmetry (P1) from said framework (7) into the locked angular position of said wheels (8).
