<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an image forming apparatus, in which power is supplied to a printer engine and a cooling section by means of a common power source, wherein if the printer engine stops owing to an error, a cooling section is also stopped to cause the fixing of toner. <P>SOLUTION: A power source for supplying power to the load of the printer engine is independent of a power source for supplying power to the cooling section.
