<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinel refractory which suppresses reaction with foreign components such as sulfur, boron and vanadium even when used in the transition zone of a cement kiln and in a glass kiln regenerator. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the spinel refractory which consists essentially of MgO and Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and, as chemical components, contain 20 to 40 mass% MgO and 60 to 80 mass% the Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, wherein the main mineral phase is spinel, and also, the whole quantity or the most of the spinel composing the refractory uses a molten spinel raw material produced by a melting method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
