<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent and early detect abnormal temperature of air to be used for cooling an IT apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature predicting apparatus acquires the temperature of air to be received by an IT apparatus, from a temperature sensor installed on the intake side of the IT apparatus stored in a rack device. The temperature predicting apparatus estimates the temperature change of air from the acquired temperature. The temperature predicting apparatus calculates the temperature gradient from the estimated temperature change, and when the calculated temperature gradient exceeds a predetermined threshold, issues an alarm as abnormal temperature. Also, the temperature predicting apparatus specifies the time to reach a predetermined threshold based on the estimated temperature change, and when the specified time exceeds the predetermined time, issues the alarm as abnormal temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
