<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded type optical repeater that facilitates the indoors adjustment of a drawing length of an optical cable from a wall face. <P>SOLUTION: The repeater is equipped with: a housing which can house at least a part of an optical fiber OF drawn from the optical cable installed at the non-exposed side of an installation face; and a front cover 20 which is freely detachably mounted to the housing from the exposed side of the installation face and freely pulls out an optical connector to the exposed side of the installation face while the optical connector that is directly or indirectly connected to the optical fiber OF is freely pulled out.
