<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that recovers, conveys, and peels carrier adhering to the surface of a photoreceptor drum, by a small number of components. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the photoreceptor drum 31Y rotated around its axis; a developing section 33Y for forming a toner image on the photoreceptor drum by developing an electrostatic latent image, formed on the photoreceptor drum, by using two-component developer containing toner and carrier; a transfer section for transferring the toner image to the surface of a transfer body 41; a cleaning section for removing toner remaining on the photoreceptor drum after the transfer of the toner image; and a carrier recovering and conveying section (13 to 15) for recovering carrier on the photoreceptor drum by means of at least magnetic force, conveying the recovered carrier in the axial direction of the photoreceptor drum while holding the recovered carrier, and stripping carrier conveyed to the end of the photoreceptor drum. The carrier recovering and conveying section is disposed downstream from the developing section and upstream from the cleaning section, in the rotating direction of the photoreceptor drum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
