PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine capable of inexpensively constituting a detection mechanism of a commodity carried out to a commodity take-out port. SOLUTION: The vending machine includes a commodity carrier 25 having a bucket unit 30, movably disposed in a vertical direction in a commodity storage chamber 20, for receiving a commodity stored in either one of a plurality of commodity storage columns 22 and moving downward to carry out the commodity to the commodity take-out port 12. The bucket unit 30 includes: a commodity receiving unit 31 for receiving a commodity sent out from the commodity storage column 22; a carried-out unit 32 for carrying out the commodity received by the commodity receiving unit 31 to the commodity take-out port 12; and a commodity carried-out sensor 36, on the right and left walls 34, 35 of the carried-out unit 32, for detecting that the commodity received by the commodity receiving unit 31 is carried out to the commodity take-out port 12.
